Maya, Evan and the Family Visitors

In the last few weeks our family has had a lot of visitors to see baby Evan Alexander. Abuelita Elizabeth and Abuelito Emilo and Tia Nydia and Kirsten and Jean and Ron and all of our neighbors. Currently, Evan goes through a lot of diapers and is a very patient baby. He's not fussy as to who changes him but takes all the baby business in stride.

Maya has enjoyed herself immensely with all the visitors and action and loves her brother Evan. Here she models her Tia Nydia's sunglasses and yellow duck t-shirt on the hallway runway.

Evan Alexander looks on to everyone with cool detachment and regard. He is a very reflective, serious and contemplative baby - except when he's hungry or needs to be changed! Otherwise, very serious like his grandfathers! One of his cousins, Andrea, said his name sounds "strong, determined and regal" and its true!

Evan Alexander Abuelita Elizabeth came all the way from Miami to visit him. Maya was pronouncing Abuelita and Abuelito perfectly and went out for coffee and shopping with her abuelos. She also loves her new rapper cool winter jacket and Dora the Explorer shoes that her Abuelos bought for her.

As you can see Maya Sophia was mischievous as usual with everyone, especially her Tia Nydia. She had a grand old time with everyone and even tried to sleep with Tia Nydia. Nydia had her hands full with both babies!!!

Evan Alexander is very much learning about his mischievous big sister and surprisingly can sleep through anything - including Maya Sophia having a great old time. Pleasant Dreams Evan Alexander!

Maya loves to color with her crayons and my coloring books!

Maya's New Brother Evan Alexander

My New Brother Evan Alexander Uzwyshyn was born at 1:00 am on November 13 2008 at West Florida Primary care. I stayed with our neighbor Kirsten when daddy drove mommy to the hospital at my bedtime.

I came to visit Evan Alexander with my dad three times. He had to watch me at home while mommy was away and we had a lot of fun together watching PBS kids, Sid the Scientist and Curious George the monkey.

Here's my new little brother Evan in his special cart. I call him "Eeee"van in the morning and I am always happy to see him after daycare!

The nurses in the hospital in Pensacola were very nice. I got to play all over mommy's bed and opened all of the contraptions and called the nurses on the speaker button and pressed all the monitor buttons until their supervisor came and asked what was needed!

I was very happy when mommy came home with my new brother Evan Alexander! Now she gives both of us hugs and kisses and I'm the big sister!

Maya's New Baby Brother!

Maya now has an important new role. She is almost two and besides being the official Pensacola Princess, she is soon to be a big sister. Here is the first film clip of her upcoming baby brother to be in action, in utero. He is kicking his little legs, while he moves his toes to get more comfortable: or maybe its the influence of the Brooklyn Meringue and Salsa schoolchildren dance documentary we were all watching together last night! We are all sure that Maya will be a great big sister. She already loves dancing and singing and the two of them may even dance and sing and surely play together one day soon... She will surely show him the ways as a big sister should!!!

My Red Table

I like to eat, color and climb on top of my red table!

I wore my sunglasses and took daddy's newspapers to daycare to show pictures of the lions and horses.

I run quickly on the Scenic Hills golf green so mama can't keep up when I pull the golf flags on the holes when the sun sets and the golfers have gone!

I ate three helpings of Chinese Food with all my family

Hats, Printers, Bowls and Saxaphones!

I have all kinds of hats I wear when it is sunny.

I am smily both morning and night and like to play with my daddy's printer.

I like to help my mother cook and take out all her pans from the pantry!

I am blowing my horn - it has been a long time since mommy and daddy added pictures here. I'm doing great and love music, dancing to daddy's internet streaming stations, and the neighbors’ dogs, Chloe and Abby. I loves the puppies so much that I call them in my sleep: "Chloooeeee, Abbbeee!". I'm a true nature girl and love animals and plants and picking blackberries. I enjoy it when we go to plant nurseries and love the moon at night and am always ready to pick the most beautiful flowery plants or have them picked for me when I'm taken for walks in my stroller. I always want to help to take the groceries in the house and the garbage out at night to see the stars. I love to blow bubbles and play magician. I will show you something, hide it, then look at my little hands and say,

"GONE!"

We really enjoy you Maya, and hope that you keep doing your magic and looking every night for the moon and stars!
